If I see it correctly this is a list of eqp lost/dumped in the inventory?

Yes, it's exactly the same thing that's in the sitrep.log file. (and displayed to the loss screens, etc.

I'm not sure how it's going to used (AARs, other planning) so I'm not sure about what to put in ot what the balance should be for Solo(everything) and PBEM play)

Can be handy for AAR, and for the hardcore afficionados who like to keep track of turn-per-turn flow of equipment

Is it possible to have full battle reports in the sitrep.log file as well?  Will be v. useful for AAR.
Will also be useful during PBEM as currently you can't see battle reports after the opponent's turn as you can usually see when playing with PO.

Not quite like that, but I'll take another look at the files and how they work for PBEM

I am in favor of the opinion that more detail  such as equipment losses in battles in the logging is necessary for its convenience of knowing the theater conditions when PBEM and making battlefield reports on forums.
