JPEG support added.

The next patch will support JPEG and variable quality levels unless something goes wrong. It makes saving the movies a lot easier.

They aren't actual 'movies' There's a setting in the options screen that will save a map at the beginning of each turn with a name something like scenarioname tXX.jpg. You can then use some other software to stitch the JPegs into a movie. There have been a couple of threads on the forums about how to do it.

It's been most useful with the 'minimap' views.

The BMPs for large scenarion were pretty big.

Hey Ralph:  I've been converting the Movies from bmp to GIF so I can stitch them together into a GIF animation but I do have Windows MovieMaker that can stitch JPEGs together to make a movie.....the problemo is that MovieMaker movies are a million times larger than the GIF animations when they are saved as a file.

It makes posting the stitched together movie on the Matrix forum a pseudo-problem.

Thought you'd like to know.
